Master of Pharmacy (M.Pharm)

Master of Pharmacy (M. Pharm) is a two-year postgraduate program in pharmacy. The Bachelor of Pharmacy (B. Pharm) program educates a graduate student in the sciences of various fields of pharmacy such as industry, marketing, practice, community, drug discovery, etc. However, a graduate lacks in-depth knowledge and hands-on experience in psychomotor skills in the specialized areas of the profession of pharmacy which the M.Pharm course provides the students.

Course Overview
 

Master of Pharmacy (M.Pharm) is a post-graduate course that can be pursued by a graduate after the completion of an undergraduate degree in the pharmaceutical field. There are different specializations available in M. Pharm. such as Pharmaceutics, Quality Assurance, Medicinal Chemistry, Pharmacology, Pharmacognosy, and many more.

M.Pharm. course duration is 2 years which has 4 semesters including thesis research work. In-depth knowledge of pharmacy is provided in the M.Pharm course. The curriculum includes subjects like Drug regulatory Affairs, Pharmacokinetics, Pharmaceutical Manufacturing Technology, etc.

Master of Pharmacy course deals with analyzing, testing, data interpreting, and researching drugs for the treatment of diseases human kind. An increased requirement for the number of qualified professionals in the pharmaceutical industry makes this course demanding in the pharmaceutical field. The modernization of Pharmaceuticals has made a massive impact on the development of the medical field. 

 

PCP, with a view to making a student face the challenges in the specialized areas of the pharmacy profession, has been offering the M.Pharm program in two specializations for more than ten years

M.Pharm streams offered at PCP:

​

  1.  Pharmaceutics

  • The course is structured and designed to prepare the students for a career in the pharmaceutical industry and to continue research activities in various pharma avenues including higher studies. The program provides various opportunities for the students to participate in R&D projects and develop their research skills​

   

   2. Pharmaceutical Quality Assurance 

  • The course is designed to address the needs of the industry along with a keen emphasis on the scientific advancement of the field. It includes various aspects of Quality Assurance and related documentation, regulatory affairs, training, and analysis of advanced equipment. The course of study shall extend over a period of 4 semesters.

Course Fees

COLLEGE FEES:

​

  1. First Year: One lakh fifty thousand rupees (Rs. 1,50,000) per annum (academic year - two semesters);

  2. Second Year: One lakh fifty thousand rupees (Rs. 1,50,000) per annum (academic year - two semesters);

  3. Total fees for the duration of the course:   Three lakh rupees (Rs.3,00,000)

Examination Fees are NOT included in the above-mentioned fee structure, they are to be added separately.
