Mandatory disclosure includes documents of approval required for conducting various programs such as D.Pharm, B.Pharm, & M.Pharm under the approval of RGUHS & PCI.

In compliance with the order dated 05.03.2020 passed by the Hon’ble Supreme Court of India in Transfer Petitions (CIVIL) No 87-101 of 2014, for the existing institutions offering courses in Pharmacy program, approval of PCI is mandatory but AICTE approval is NOT required.

ANTI-RAGGING

COMMITTEE

As per the UGC notification in regard to the prevention and prohibition of ragging in Higher Education Institutions, the College has constituted the Anti-Ragging Committee to prohibit, prevent, and eliminate ragging on the College campus. Ragging is a criminal offense. Ragging is strictly prohibited by both State Govt. and Central Govt. Punishment for ragging will be as follows:

  • (i) Imprisonment up to three years and a fine of Rs.10,000/-

  • (ii) Dismissal from the college

GENDER

HARASSMENT

COMMITTEE

As per the Supreme Court Judgment and guidelines issued in 1997 to combat sexual harassment, violence against women, and ragging and to provide a conducive atmosphere on the campus of Priyadarshini College of Pharmacy, Koratagere a ‘Gender Harassment Committee is constituted with the members consisting of teaching and non-teaching staff and residents representative:

PROCEDURE FOR APPROACHING COMMITTEE:

​

The Committee shall deal with issues relating to sexual harassment at PCP and its campus. It is applicable to all students, staff, and faculty. A complaint of discrimination or sexual harassment may be lodged by the victim or a third party. A written complaint may be addressed to the Convener of the Committee. If the complaint is made to the Principal, Hostel Warden, or any of the Committee members, they may forward it to the Convener of the Committee Against Sexual Harassment.

 

ACTS OF SEXUAL HARASSMENT:

​

It is defined that according to the Supreme Court guideline Sexual harassment can be defined as “unwelcome” sexually determined behaviour (whether directly or by implication) as:

  • Physical contact and advances;

  • Demand or request for sexual favours;

  • Sexually coloured remarks;

  • Showing pornography; and

  • Other unwelcome physical, verbal, or non-verbal conduct of a sexual nature. (Vishaka judgment by Supreme Court)

THE FOLLOWING FURTHER ACTS / COMMISSIONS ALSO COME UNDER THE AMBITS OF SEXUAL HARASSMENT AND ARE WITHIN THE PURVIEW OF THE COMMITTEE:

  • Eve-teasing,

  • Unsavory remarks,

  • Jokes causing or likely to cause awkwardness or embarrassment,

  • Innuendos and taunts,

  • Gender-based insults or sexist remarks,

  • Unwelcome sexual overtone in any manner such as over the telephone (obnoxious telephone calls) and the like,

  • Touching or brushing against any part of the body and the like,

  • Displaying pornographic or other offensive or derogatory pictures, cartoons, pamphlets, or sayings,

  • Forcible physical touch or molestation; and

  • Physical confinement against one’s will and any other act likely to violate one’s privacy.
